Steve Salter is a saxophonist fluent across genres ranging from rock to jazz.  He is a member of Hollywood Nights, the world's top tribute to Bob Seger and The Silver Bullet Band that tours in the Eastern US. In addition to his saxophone role, Steve also plays guitar and organ with the band.


Between tour segments, Salter plays on sessions in Detroit and SE  Michigan that have ranged from a broadway "soul" style musical demo to jingles for commercial projects. Steve also performs in Michigan with The Salty-Wayne Experience, an acoustic duo featuring the saxophone. He also composes and records in his personal Saltlick Studio, and has used this studio for remote tracking on projects.


Steve Salter started as saxophonist in grade school. As a high school Junior, Steve toured the Eastern US and Europe with "America's Youth in Concert" as a first chair alto saxophonist. Included were performances at Carnegie Hall and Royal Albert Hall. He continued saxophone studies at the University level and then,at age 18, began playing the guitar, studying with Vincent Bredice.


As a guitarist, Steve released a solo instrumental album in 2016 entitled "Gleaming". The album has received critical acclaim.
